Tilmon Steward, Board Member
Tillmon is a dedicated community development advocate and board member of SITE, a nonprofit housing developer committed to creating affordable housing opportunities and fostering the next generation of builders. His involvement stems from a deep personal connection to addressing housing inequity and expanding access to homeownership in underserved communities.
As a longtime community member, Tillmon has witnessed firsthand the persistent lack of adequate housing and the limited opportunities for residents to develop construction and development skills. Through his work with SITE, he brings valuable lived experience in skilled training and housing development, drawing from years of work in the housing industry.
His extensive background includes collaboration with several impactful organizations focused on grassroots community uplift, including Citizen Housing and Information Council, Blue Hills Homes Corporation, and East Community Association. These partnerships have strengthened his understanding of the barriers facing residents who lack financial capacity to access traditional housing markets.
Tilmon’s passion for this work is evident in his emotional connection to SITE’s potential impact. He approaches his role not as a detached board member, but as someone genuinely invested in seeing the organization’s mission spread and benefit communities effectively. His commitment extends beyond housing to broader community service, including involvement with Catholic Charities.
Through SITE, Tillmon continues his lifelong dedication to creating meaningful opportunities for community empowerment and housing accessibility.
